Production companies don’t need more leads. They need the week.

Open the inbox of any commercial production company and you’ll find the same pitch a dozen times over: more leads, more meetings, a database of brands. Most of it goes unread, and for good reason.

A list of brands is not a job. A brand that shot its campaign last quarter isn’t a buyer. A brand that hasn’t decided to launch anything isn’t a buyer. What a producer actually needs is the brand that is about to need them — reached before someone else is in the room.

The scarce thing in production isn’t contacts. It’s timing — and being trusted by the brand when it arrives.

Brands have the mirror-image problem. A founder with a launch date and no production experience can’t tell a reel from a roster. They don’t know who shoots product, who does motion and CGI, who can edit, grade and deliver on a deadline. So they ask around, and they take whoever answers.

That gap is the job. One side has a date and no team; the other has a team and no line of sight to the date. Neither needs another cold email. They need one introduction, made at the right moment, by someone who has vetted both ends.

That’s the only thing I do.
